Halloween 2012

Don't you wish everyday was like Halloween? It gives you the excuse to be silly, eat all the candy you want without guilt and have fun all day.

This year was the first we all dressed up as a family. It's such a kid's event that you can't help but get into the spirit the older the kids get. Alia is all about Hello Kitty so I got the same costume as her (a child's size XL!!) and Tim was a banana to match Kian's sock monkey outfit.

We went to a friend's Halloween party and Alia and I had fun making this Jack O Lantern shaped nacho cheese dip and spider cookies. Super easy and fun to assemble. Alia also had her annual Halloween parade at school and like last year, I took photos of her and all her cute little classmates.

We went trick a treating that night, but it started to rain hard right before so I was only able to snap a couple of pics of Alia and Kian on our doorsteps before the fun began. This was Kian's first time going to the door and getting candy - last year, he was just in the stroller. I don't think he knew what this candy collecting was all about, but nonetheless, he had fun swinging his little basket around and putting candy inside. I really wished it wasn't raining so I could have captured his first time doing it, it was too cute.
