It's pumpkin patch season and having gone to a few in the last few years, I have to say Toley Falls Festival in Sonoma is one of the best. We visited last year and had so much fun we returned. Except this time asked one of Alia's best friends, Abby, to come.
I like Toley Falls because it's more than just a pumpkin patch.
There's a fun animal center with owls, stuffed wild animals, live jellyfish, starfish and creepy insects, amphibians. Then theres' the arts and crafts for kids - corn husk making, candle making, wool making.
There's a cool area where they pay homage to Native American with authentic tepees.
Also a cute vegetable garden with squash, tomatoes, and apples.
Then the coolest part is taking an authentic hayride about half a mile away to their pumpkin patch. And it's all pumpkins - no cheesy jumpy houses, loud rides, etc.
It was so much fun to see Alia bring a friend and see how much she's grown this year from last when it was just us.
Also Kian was just in a baby carrier last year and now he's a typical boy, climbing everywhere, playing with dirt, branches. He had a blast at the vegetable garden putting all the veggies in a red bucket and also at the pumpkin patch. We have some baby pumpkins and tiny apples at home and he won't eat dinner unless he's holding either the pumpkin or apples in his hand. One of his first words was "apple." So cute.
