Bike Carrier

Tim has been wanting a bike and kids carrier for a while to get exercise and also do something fun for the kids. After doing some research, we finally went out and got one this weekend. The carrier can carry up to 100 lbs and two kids. I'm not particularly fond of biking (and plus if Tim is volunteering to take the kids out and let me stay home and relax, why wouldn't I take him up on it?!) so we only got him a bike.

For the first ride though, I wanted to take some pictures so we drove out to this neat trail (Lafayette Moraga trail) about 15 minutes away. It was perfect for what Tim wanted to do, a relatively flat bike trail along nature so it would be safe for the kids. He rode for 50 minutes but could have done more. Except I was waiting back in the car. Next time, he plans on trying different trails and going longer.

Alia was super excited and couldn't contain her joy over getting in the bike carrier. I think Kian was just confused, but luckily he had Alia by his side and didn't cry or fuss the whole way. I think this is a great way to get the kids out and get some exercise for Tim, which is what he wanted. Plus I get to stay back next time and get some free me time. Perfect for the whole family!

I love how Kian's hand is on Alia's knee for comfort. He tends to do that when he's unsure of things.

Grandma Hsu gave Alia these sunglasses and she will not leave home without them. Thx Grandma!

This was at the end of the ride and when Kian saw me he immediately wanted to get out (what a mama's boy), but Alia said he enjoyed the ride :)
