Pescadero

A few weeks ago, we went to a cool goat farm in Pescadero called Harley Farms. They're renowned for their amazing goat cheese and have a goat shop. They also do goat tours and farm dinners which I hear are sold out in advance. Too bad they don't allow kids to the farm dinners since that would be really fun. The goat shop was awesome, we bought some honey lavender and herb goat cheese to go. The farm had all these cool log stumps which kept Alia occupied as her and Tim played "jump the stump."

Since we've never been to Pescadero (only an hour and a half from Oakland), we also made it a point to stop downtown and try out the famous Olliaberry pie at Duarte's Tavern (a down home diner featured on Food Network's Diners and Dives). We had lunch there and the pie was pretty tasty.

We also stopped by the farmers market going on there and bought some berries. There was a cool antique shop which we browsed for fun. Pescadero is also known for their famous artichoke garlic bread so we brought a loaf to eat with our goat cheese. It was a nice day out.
