4th of July - Ardenwood Farm

On the 4th of July, we met up with 3 groups of friends and had a picnic at Ardenwood Farm. This is an awesome farm which we've been to before with just the kids. They allow you to feed the goats and have tons of space to walk around the fields. They also have a Monarch butterfly tree area, historic homes, and a train ride.

This was by far the best 4th of July kids celebration we've attended. There were so many fun activities to both watch and partake in, plus a large parking lot and expansive farm area. Although there were tons of families, it felt comfortable and not crowded at all.

The highlights: a pie eating contest with both kids and adults only, ice cream making, arts and crafts table, live marching bands, yarn making, potato sack race, tug of war, water pumping relay races, rodeo with real cowboys. Alia had a hand in putting the lasso in with the cowboys helping her and she cranked the ice cream. The other activities we just watched.

I also took her on the train ride through the farm with was super fun. It was great to hang out with our friends as well and celebrate in a place filled with kids fun so we could just let them run around and explore. Definitely a place to come visit time and time again with the family.
