So apparently Alia has a best friend at school. I don't remember having a best friend at 3, but she does. Her name is Abigail and she's in the same Tadpoles preschool class. Alia has been talking for weeks now about having Abby over for a playdate and we finally arranged one. I couldn't believe how heart-warming it was to witness your child making their own friends. We've had many playdates before but just with our friends' kids. This was different - Alia and Abby gabbed about everything and anything. They held hands, giggled, and just relished being together. Like two peas in a pod. We recently took Abby and her dad with us cherry and strawberry picking at a farm (unfortunately Abby's mom couldn't make it). It was the cutest thing ever to see them pick fruit together. Ahh...the life of a 3 year old. Wish life was as simple as carefree fun all the golden days.
