Happy First Birthday, Kian

Today was Kian's first birthday. We are having a big Mexican Fiesta themed party for him this Sat but I wanted to celebrate his actual day with just our family. I took him for his first cupcake at Teacake (he wasn't sure what it was all about, but it was fun nonetheless). Later on, I got him a cake from Sheng Kee bakery. Chinese cakes aren't too sweet and I had a feeling he would like the raspberry/mango mouse (which he did). I picked up Alia from school and we went to a nearby gift store where she picked out a toy for Kian (which she promptly claimed her own once opened). We waited for Tim to come home and sang happy birthday and it was sweet and simple. Happy birthday to my baby boy - you've brought sunshine into my life each and every day since you were born. Here's to many more sunny birthdays.
