Bodega Bay

A few weeks ago during 4th of July weekend, we spontaneously decided to rent a beach house in Bodega Bay with 3 other families. Typically it's hard to plan for getaways in advance due to the business so this weekend trip was literally decided on the Wed before we arrived Friday!

Since it was so last minute, we were lucky to find this amazing beautiful beach house in Bodega Bay which was only 1.5 hours away. The weather was also perfect, about 80's although the beach was still a bit windy (hence no photos due to the flyaway sand).

Each family had their own bathroom and bedroom and the house's deck overlooked the ocean which was just a 5 minute walk away (although we had to drive anyways, lugging all the kid's gear in tow).

We mainly relaxed ate, and talked while the kids ran around wreaking havoc. On Sun, we stopped by Point Reyes for a nice leisurely lunch before heading back into town. '

What a fun, random trip! We'd definitely go back.
