Montara Beach

Since the strawberry ranch day was on a Sat, on Father's Day, which was a Sunday, we hung out with a couple of friends and their families and hit the beach. The Bay Area was having a heat wave that weekend so it was perfect weather to do something like this. We went to this pretty beach in Half Moon Bay called Montara Beach. This is probably the nicest you'll see in the Bay Area since the beaches here tend to be rocky. This beach wasn't like typical SF beaches and actually had nice smooth sand and no rocks.

Alia's been watching lots of Barney and one of the episodes is about the beach so she knows all about it but hasn't been to one since she was around 9 months in Hawaii. At that time, she was too young to really understand what sand and the beach meant. This time, she had a blast along with her little friends building sand castles, and just playing in the sand in general. We brought Kian out and kept him in the shade. He did great, just hanging out, sleeping most of the time.

It was really a beautiful, memorable day full of sun and good times!
