Trip to Tilden

A couple of weeks ago, we ventured out to this state park right by our house in Berkeley called Tilden Park. Tilden is a great big park with botanical gardens, a lake, lots of hiking trails, and camp sites. Best of all, they have an area called "Little Animal Farm" where you can feed farm animals vegetables! I got to feed ducks bok choy and lettuce (provided by the park). Another great thing is their authentic steam engine train that takes you around the park for a fun 12 minutes! I love trains and riding them. We also went to the visitor center filled with park murals and caves. We didn't get a chance to see the gardens, but hopefully will return when it gets warmer and visit that plus the lake.
