San Mateo County Fair

I got to visit my first county fair this past weekend! The San Mateo County fair was in town and we went there with some of Mama and Dada's friends and their 2 mos old baby, Olivia. I'm still too young for the carnival rides but I had fun nonetheless by visiting real life farm animals! Pigs, chickens, and cows, rabbits and many more. When I saw the big huge cow, I even went "mmoooo." I mean that's how cows talk right? I played one carnival game where I had to hold a fishing stick and grab a goodie bag, but the toothy grinned, chain-smoking sounding carnival lady was scary and made me cry. After that, we decided no more games. Plus the prize was a whoopee cushion. I think Dada liked it even more than I did, he kept playing with it when we got home.

We visited a quilt show where I touched handcrafted quilts, walked through some sort of art show and I also got to ride a "faux" pony. I can't wait to ride a real pony. I think that's in the plans sometimes soon, hint hint.

I got to eat some county fair food like burgers and fries (just a few bites of each) but the highlight was the yummy chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream which I got tiny little bites of.

The only downer to the day was that it was hot, hot, hot. We had a certified heat wave that day but I was slathered with sunscreen and a hat most of the time. The heat didn't stop my energy even once we got home. However Mama and Dada were a bit sunburned and exhausted. C'mon now! Can't believe they couldn't keep up with a 16 month old!
