A few Saturday's ago I had the pleasure of attending my first Red Egg Ginger party for my friend Olivia. Apparently this is a Chinese (Cantonese) tradition where you are supposed to give jade or something with a tiger on it for good luck (or I guess money always works too, hehe). It was held at Lake Temescal park, just a few miles away from home. A great big green park with a nice lake setting. It was a bbq and tons of yummy meats and chinese dishes were available to taste. I had fun running around and petting some of the doggies there. Strolling by the lake and watching the ducks yelling out "DAAK" and playing with other kids there. Happy Red Egg Ginger Olivia!
