On Sat we went to the annual Charles Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco. This is a big show where people dress up like they are from a Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens and say things like "indeed" and "Father Christmas" and "Oh happy day." There were lots of arts and crafts, dancing, carol singing, puppet shows, and old-fashioned treats like Bangers and Mash, Meat Pies, Fish and Chips, Fudge, Roasted Chestnuts, and lots of ale. We had some chowder and fish and chips, Rocky Road Fudge and Chestnuts which I got to try for the first time!
Unfortunately, we made it there too late to see Father Christmas, I saw just a glimpse of an old fat man in a jolly red suit. What's the big old fuss anyways about Santa? I'm not sure I get it yet.
Hopefully next year, I can take a Santa picture and enjoy the kid's activities more.
