Donuts!

Alia loves to bake and since I own a bakery, it's no surprise since she's surrounded by all things baking. I got the idea of making donuts from a blog I read recently where they used one of those electric donut makers. I've seen these at Target and they also make them for cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, etc. I've always wanted to get one since it's so easy to use (donuts in 6 minutes!) and great for kids.

I settled on donuts since I'm pretty tired of being surrounded by cupcakes all the time. I used Teacake's donut bite recipe but to make them healthier, substituted blackberry applesauce for the milk. Also added a handful of fresh blackberries and made the icing using green juice and carrot juice. So tasty, fun, and healthy. They aren't that sweet which makes it easier to eat a whole donut. I've read you can also use any ready made baking or muffin mix which I might do next time, just makes it easier when making them with kids.
