Nick and Kayli visit!

The weekend Kian got discharged from the hospital was when my sister and her family came to visit. Since they live in Shanghai, it's very rare we get to see Auntie Nat,Uncle Rob and cousins Kayli and Nick.

We had all planned to spend the weekend in wine country in Healdsburg and had rented a house there, but all plans fell through when the kids got sick. We canceled the weekend away and decided to nest at home.

Although we were just home, we managed to do some fun activities and have a grand time - playing with bubbles, enjoying Alia's garden, baking a cake, building Ninja Legos, and playing Kinect Dance Central. We also managed one meal outside to Fenton's Ice Creamery. Ahh good old-fashioned family fun.

Having Nick and Kayli there was a HUGE help. Especially Kayli who was like a big sister to Alia and played along with her patiently.

This was the first year Alia really got to know and play with her cousins and it was evident she missed them when she asked "we gonna see Nick and Kayli?" the first two days I picked her up from school after they left.
