O Christmas Tree..O Christmas Tree

This year we decided to pick and chop down our own Christmas tree! By "we" I mean Dada. We went to this beautiful tree farm in Castro Valley, just 20 min away from home where they had all kinds of trees. We chose a Douglas fir and upon much consideration, settled on a not too tall, not too short tree, just about 6 ft tall. The farm gave us twine and a saw and Dada went to work. It took about 10 minutes to saw down the tree and Dada said it wasn't so bad. While he sawed, I explored the woodsy tree area, picked up branches, got my boots all muddied and ran wild with nature. The weather was beautiful, a little bit cold but sunny and clear. This is definitely a new tradition to keep for years to come.
