Twick or Tweat

Last Halloween, I was only 9 months old or so and couldn't really appreciate the beauty of Halloween. Flash forward 12 months later I can say without a doubt that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I got to experience the ritual of trick or treating 3 times this weekend!

On Friday, nanny took me to nearby Montclair village where there was a Halloween parade. Fire trucks came by and tossed huge heaps of candy, but nanny said all I wanted was one lollipop. My first ever. Amazingly although I'd never had a lollipop in my life, I knew exactly how to unwrap and eat one the way you're supposed to. Must be some kind of ingrained kid instinct. Pictures below don't show Friday's festivities but nanny took some videos which will be uploaded soon.

On Halloween day, Mama and Dada took me to 4th Street Berkeley where merchants were giving out treats for all the trick or treaters out there. I stubbornly refused to put on my costume, crying each time Mama tried to put it on. However, I was still able to trick or treat with my lil Halloween bag and as you can see below, scored a lollipop and a few more treats.

Later that afternoon, my friends Brayden and Josie came over and we went trick or treating up and down our neighborhood. This time, I didn't protest the costume change and really got into the Halloween spirit. There's nothing that beats going door to door to real houses holding out your bag and shouting "tweak tweat!" Oh boy I had so much fun. I love Halloween!

Now I get why all the kids go crazy over Halloween!
