Summer Time Grillin'

This past weekend, I got to sit in at another French Laundromat meet-up (Mama and Dada's cooking club). The theme was BBQ and oh boy what a feast I had! I sat at the "head of the table" outside our deck and feasted on the most delicious grilled items.

For starters, Mexican street corn with spices and mayo, and chicken satay with a curry sauce. Followed by grilled tuna steak with a tomato onion relish and grilled steak with a refreshing honeydew and cucumber chutney (Mama and Dada's dish).

The very best part of the meal was dessert. Grilled peaches (yum!) topped with homemade sweet corn ice cream (yum!)accompanied by homemade walnut shortbread (yum yum!!).

I ate strawberries on the side, played with my swing set, sat on the hammock with Dada and enjoyed Uncle John swinging me in the air and playing hip hip hurray too many times to count. My belly and heart was full that day. Thank you French Laundromat!
