The highlight of the trip was the all you can eat breakfast buffet that came with the hotel. For the first time, I had unlimited eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruits, yogurt and oatmeal, and even some ham and sausage. I ate and ate to my heart's content. Mama knows that is the secret to my happiness. Therefore, as long as I ate, I was in a good mood!
Another highlight was swimming almost everyday. For the first time, I went into a pool and learned to kick my legs in the floatie everytime I was told to "swim." Dada swam with me everyday and took me around the pool lap after lap. I never got sick of the water. I even went under a waterfall! (even tho it was man-made) I wish I could swim every day *sigh. Maybe it's the Aquarius in me.
We did a lot of sightseeing like visit two botannical gardens (Kula and Maui), "hiking" at Iao Valley, and even walked around a lavender farm where I tasted bits of fresh, lavender scones.
The hotel had a small living room where I had time to practice my crawling and standing up and I also had my very own crib with sheets and bumper from home. I think that's what made me sleep so well (in addition to my fave music cd from home).
Now that we're back, I'm puzzled as to why I have to eat the bland foods I always did like fruit and veggie purees. The best thing about this vacation is that Mama got a clue and realized I can now eat finger foods. So she got me some tasty items like crab cakes, mushroom turnovers, risotto fontina rice balls, french toast, waffles, and mini chix tacos from Trader Joe's to supplement my everyday pureed veggies, ground meat, fruits, and cereal.
So to sum up Hawaii...I ate like a horse, swam like a fish, and slept like a giant. What a good time all around!

sounds like a great first trip...maui sounds so good right about now! and fabu photos, mommy!
